Steel Horses Along the Tatar Trail 2026

**“ALONG TATAR ROUTES ON STEEL STEEDS 2026”**

We invite all bikers, motorcyclists, and travel enthusiasts to embark on a unique journey exploring the history, culture, and heritage of the Lithuanian Tatars.

You can complete the route independently and at your own pace. At every stop, you will discover fascinating stories, talks by local guides, and remarkable heritage sites. Special discounts will also be available to participants at selected locations.

**ROUTE STOPS**

**Alytus Museum of Ethnography**
Savanorių St. 6, Alytus

**Time:** 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• 50% admission discount for visitors arriving by motorcycle.
• A guide’s presentation on the history of the Lithuanian Tatars in Dzūkija.

**Raižiai Mosque and the Tatar Gates**
Raižiai village, Alytus District

One of Lithuania’s most important Tatar heritage sites. Discover the history of the mosque and visit the symbolic Tatar Gates.

**The Nalšia Museum**
Laisvės Sq. 3, Švenčionys

Explore the new exhibition, **“Between Flora and Peoples: Stories of the Land of Nalšia,”** which tells the story of the various ethnic communities that have lived together in this region for centuries—including the Lithuanian Tatars.

**Sculpture of Chašaidaras**
Gudiena Recreation Area, Kaišiadorys District

Visit the sculpture of Chašaidaras, a Tatar warrior of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and hear the legend explaining the origin of the name Kaišiadorys.

**Kaunas Mosque**
Ramybė Park, Kaunas

The only brick mosque in Lithuania—a unique opportunity to discover the religious and architectural heritage of the Lithuanian Tatars.
