About the event.
The moment has arrived – the **2026 drift season** is officially coming to an end. On **3 and 4 October, the Biķernieki Complex Sports Base** will host the **Northern European Zone and Baltic Drift Championship Final – Grand Final 2026**.
This will be more than just the end of the season. It will also be **one of the most spectacular drift events in the Baltic states**, with the winners of several major titles decided in one place. The event will include:
• the **Northern European Zone Drift Championship (NEZ) Final**, the **Livonian Drift Championship Final**, the **Latvian Drift Championship Finals** and the **Baltic Drift Championship Finals**.
The organisers will introduce the drivers as the event approaches, but one thing is already clear: spectators can expect both high-profile returns to the track and the biggest names in Latvian drifting. Approximately **130 participants are expected to compete across three classes**, making this **one of the largest season finales of recent years**.
The Grand Final will also be distinguished by its unique format. Drift competitions will take place **on two tracks simultaneously**, and spectators will be able to follow both battles at the same time, as the configurations will be integrated into the main Biķernieki circuit. The **Pro2 and PRO classes** will compete **on the main Biķernieki circuit**, while the **Street class** will compete **in the speedway stadium**.
**The competition will run for two full days.**
On **Saturday**, spectators will be able to watch **the practice and qualifying runs for every class**.
On **Sunday**, all classes will take part in **tandem practice**, followed by **the season’s decisive tandem battles on two tracks simultaneously**.
In total, spectators can look forward to:
• **three different track configurations**;
• **one venue – the Biķernieki Complex Sports Base**;
• **five tandem sessions, or finals**;
• **an open paddock**.
By purchasing a **Grand Final ticket**, spectators automatically receive admission to **Saturday’s competition programme** as well. This means true drift fans can **enjoy both days for the price of a single ticket**.
**Motorsport can be dangerous!** Although the organiser takes every possible safety and precautionary measure, unforeseen accidents may occur in motorsport. **Visitors are fully responsible for themselves and their children** and must continually assess whether their safety is at risk at the competition venue. Please **do not pass under the safety barriers** or **enter the event area through unauthorised access points**. **Be especially alert to flying stones and vehicle parts**, which the organiser cannot anticipate. **By attending a motorsport event, visitors accept responsibility for their own safety.**
