Saturday bicycle trip – Down the River!

On Saturday 7 November 2026 at 09:00, Bike Ride Vilnius hosts a bicycle trip around Vilnius. Meet beside the Cathedral Square bell tower. Distance: approximately 100 km; pace: 17–20 km/h. Near Vievis, participants may leave the group and return to Vilnius by train. Assess your fitness responsibly.
Route: https://www.komoot.com/tour/3376687747; it may be adjusted during the ride. Surfaces: unpaved forest and field roads 40%, asphalt 35%, gravel 10%, paving blocks and cobblestones 15%. An MTB or gravel bicycle is recommended.
Minimum age: 16. A helmet, roadworthy bicycle, white front light and red rear light are compulsory. Wear highly visible clothing. Dark clothing is prohibited unless a reflective vest or vest-belt is worn.
Bring a spare inner tube, small repair tools, snacks, money for village-shop stops and enough drinks; a warm drink in a flask is useful on a cold morning. Wear comfortable layers, gloves and warmer accessories suited to the weather.
The event may be cancelled for heavy rain, sleet or strong wind. Organisers will announce a cancellation at least 24 hours before the start.
